Post-Jam Update!


Changes:

Level Design

  • "Lab terrarium" map changes
  • Fixed z-fighting issues

Visual

  • Changed tonemapper
  • Changed color grading
  • Minor ui fixes and tweaks
  • Added used assets in credits
  • Added more readable battle arena bounds
  • Added camera lock on battle arenas
  • Added remaining enemies indicators on battle arenas 

Characters

  • Block action removed
  • Special action removed (For now)
  • Grasshopper character removed (For now)
  • Dash no longer recharges in air
  • Using dash resets dash recharge timer now

Housefly

  • Housefly AI tweaks
  • You can parry housefly's projectiles by punching

Sound

  • Gameplay music loops now
  • Added sounds for spawning characters
  • Added sounds for collecting mutagens

Interesting update, especially with the removal of block, special, and the Grasshopper character, but Housefly parrying really makes the combat more interesting. I was still able to create two new skips to be used in the speedrun, and the last one WILL be found.

This update acts as a band-aid after a jam version release. The map is temporary for now, so don't get too attached to it 😅

We started to plan out content for the whole game and when we figure it out, I'll make a new post about it.

nice. just wanted to say pacifist run is functional in theory now as well. all three skips have been found.
